Ferry to Greece from Cyprus

All you need to know about the new ferry to Greece from Cyprus…

For the first time in two decades, Cyprus and Greece have been connected by sea with the new Daleela passenger ferry and at the end of this page are some lovely hotels where you can stay in Athens.

Scandro Holding operates the ferry and the first journey transported over 100 passengers from Limassol to Piraeus in June 2022.

The ferry has the capacity for 400 passengers and 100+ vehicles.
The Daleela sails from Limassol to Piraeus every Wednesday and Sunday. Services from Piraeus to Limassol depart every Tuesday and Friday. The ferry stops running in the autumn and the final journey in 2022 is from Piraeus to Limassol on 16 September.

The duration of the trip is approximately 30 hours (60 hour round trip)
Ideal for travellers who don’t like flying, want to travel with their pets, take their vehicles or transport lots of luggage.

What’s onboard?
The Daleela comes equipped with a restaurant, bar, cafe, casino, playground and doctor’s clinic on board. The ferry is also wheelchair accessible. Passengers can choose to travel VIP, first class or second class. VIP suites have beds, a small living room and private toilet and shower.

CABINS
First-class cabins have beds and a private shower and toilet. Second class cabins have beds and a shared shower and toilet. All cabins have single beds except quadruple cabins which include two bunk beds.

TICKETS
A one-way adult ticket starts at just €8 for an Aircraft seat or €10 for a single second-class cabin. And if you want to travel in style you can opt for a VIP suite for €50.

Macbeth (Pafos Aphrodite Festival)

The 21st Pafos Aphrodite Festival presents Macbeth a production by the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus.

Location: At the square of the Medieval Castle in Pafos.

Macbeth (Macbetto) by Giuseppe Verdi, based on William Shakespeare’s homonymous drama, consists of four acts with an Italian libretto by Francesco Maria Piave. It premiered on 14 March 1847 at the Teatro della Pergola in Florence.

The 20th Edition of Pafos Aphrodite Festival presents Gioachino Rossini’s popular opera Il barbiere di Siviglia (The barber of Seville) at the Square of the Medieval Castle in Pafos.

A production by the Italian organisation C.I.A.L.M. – Teatro Lirico Italiano in collaboration with the Ventidio Basso Ascoli Piceno Theatre and the participation of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. Il barbiere di Siviglia (The barber of Seville) is an opera buffa in two acts with an Italian libretto by Cesare Sterbini. The libretto was based on Pierre Beaumarchais’s homonymous theatrical trilogy, Le Barbier de Séville (1775).
