Paphos is a Unesco World Heritage Site which contains many places of architectural and archaeological importance.
This popular Cyprus resort is also the birthplace of the mythical Greek Goddess Aphrodite and there are many hotels and luxurious villas, spa resorts and golf courses in the area.
Kato Pafos has a palm tree lined promenade with an abundance of open air cafes, restaurants, a harbour and castle. Nearby towns and villages such as Pissouri and Kouklia are good to visit.

Limassol (Lemesos) is another popular Cyprus resort stretching from the Old Town along 3km of seafront which is overflowing with luxurious hotels, apartments and rows of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops.

The inland village of Pissouri is situated between Limassol and Paphos and just a 30 minute drive away. This is a very popular resort with a village square, a variety of restaurants, local tavernas, banks and bars. Pissouri Bay is a 5 or 10 min drive from the village with sea front restaurants, bars, shops and a shingle beach.

Larnaca
The Cyprus resort of Larnaca is on the south east coast of the island. With a population of 46,700, Larnaca is the third largest city on the island. Built on the ancient city of Kition (birthplace of the stoic philosopher Zeno) pictured above, who lived in the 4th century, he was so inspired by the works of Socrates that he founded the Stoic School of philosophy in Athens.
Larnaca is the ideal resort for a laid back and relaxing holiday. As well as the lovely beach there are shops, restaurants and cafes along the famous Finikoudes promenade. Larnaca Airport is just a ten minute drive from the center of town.

Ayia Napa is famous for its swinging and noisy nightlife and beautiful beaches. This very popular resort was once a small fishing village which took its name from the Greek word napa meaning wooded valley.
