Lemesos Carnival 2012

Carnival time is celebrated throughout the island with parades and floats. Limassol Carnival is the largest and most colorful of all carnivals in Cyprus and lasts for eleven days.

As with all carnivals the focus is on fun, food and celebrating the end of winter and welcoming Spring. Scheduled events take place from 16 February with the entrance of King Carnival into Limassol town and the Grand Carnival Parade on Sunday, February 26th marks the end of the carnival.

The parade begins at 13.30 from St. Nicholas roundabout and then proceeds along Makarios III Avenue - Limassol Carnival

Marinella

Marinella

Marinella is an amazing Greek singer who I grew up listening to enjoying at many Greek Bazouki concerts in Athens. Often performing with George Dallaras this legendary singer will be in concert at the Pavilion Music Hall in Nicosia with singer Kostas Karafotis.

Davis Cup: Cyprus VS Morocco

10 – 12 February 2012

Cyprus Tennis, Davis Cup - Marcos Baghdatis

Group II tie between Cyprus and Morocco takes place at the Palais des Sports - Spyros Kyprianou Indoor Stadium, in Limassol between 10 and 12 February 2012.

The Cyprus team will be led by Yiannos Hadjigeorghiou, as the captain and Champion Marcos Baghdatis will be holding the number one post in the team.
