Attractions in Cyprus

Most people spend their Cyprus holidays at one of the popular beach resorts on the island but it's definitely worth driving or taking the bus to Nicosia (Lefkosia in Greek) which is the capital of the island.

You'll discover many famous attractions, shops, restaurants and places of interest and if you like horse racing you'll be in for a treat.

Limassol is the second largest city and Larnaca is the third largest and conveniently located very close to Larnaca airport. Not far away are the resorts of Ayia Napa and Protaras which are famous for their lovely sandy beaches.

Once the capital of the island, Paphos is on the south-western coast of the island.

Not far away is the beautiful Akamas Pensinsula and the stunning Troodos Mountains which are famous for the Byzantine churches, Kykkos Monastery and pretty wine producing villages which you can easily visit with one of the Cyprus tours.
