Larnaca Summer FestivalA festival of music and performing arts by national and international artists which takes place in July every year.The program includes film screenings as well as poetry in the courtyard of the Larnaca medieval fort and the Pattichion Municipal Amphitheater where outdoor concerts take place.
Ancient Greek Drama Festival - July and AugustDuring the summer months of July and August the Kourion Ancient Theater in Limassol, Ancient Odeon in Paphos and Makarios III Amphitheater in Nicosia host popular ancient Greek dramas written by playwrights such as Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides and Aristophanes.The festival lasts for a month and are in Ancient or Modern Greek with a short description of the plot in English. The festival is organized by the Cyprus Tourism Organization and the Cyprus Theater Organization.
